Barron Edward Posey, our precious child, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the tender age of two. He was born on March 30, 2015 to his loving and devoted, parents, Jacob Posey and Svetlana “Lana” Dejournett. Soon after he was born, Barron was diagnosed, and valiantly fought, GM1 Gangliosidosis, a very rare neurological disease.

The joy Barron brought to everyone’s life is forever set in the hearts of all who knew him. His loss is felt deeply, every day.

Through Katelyn’s Kloset, Barron was provided a wonderful opportunity to operate his own customized, motorized car. And it was that day, that Barron became the ‘King of the Road’.
Those left behind to cherish Barron’s memory are his parents Jacob and Lana; his grandparents Dick and Marylou Posey, grandmother Natalia Sorokina and grandfather Alexander Sorokina ; uncles Judd Posey, Josh (Sara) Posey; aunt Anna Sorokina; and his cousins Jack and Keira Posey.

Barron’s family are very grateful to the physicians and nursing staff with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, that took such loving care of Barron. Their genuine care and concern will never be forgotten.
