Sister Honors Brothers through Contributions to GM1 Research

Maria Micallef of Malta is getting married this summer and has chosen to honor her brothers Karol and Victor who both suffered from GM1 Gangliosidosis Type 1, infantile onset.  Her brothers’ lives were very brief, but their memories live on.  In lieu of wedding favors, Maria has decided to contribute to GM1 research for a cure, thereby contributing to a legacy for her brothers. This generous and thoughtful gesture is extremely meaningful to all the families who suffer from GM1 Gangliosidosis.  It is the mission of the Cure GM1 Foundation to provide an avenue for families to come together and contribute to a cure to this wretched condition, knowing that the funds will be put towards research.  GM1 Gangliosidosis touches people from all walks of life and is not isolated to a single population or region in the world.

Maria, Melvin and Katryce, we wish you the best in your life together!  Thank you for your support of the Cure GM1 Foundation and for your belief that a cure is possible.  Please consider a donation to GM1 research to support children like Victor and Karol.
