Childcare information
You are welcome to bring your children with you to the conference. A Helping Hand for Childcare will be available during the family meeting for both affected children and siblings at the Hyatt House Hotel. When you register, just make sure to select the Family + Children ticket option.

I, the parent/guardian, hereby represent that I am 18 years or older and that I am authorized to grant permission on behalf of the participant(s) under my guardianship. I agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of said participant.
It is the responsibility of the parent to read and adhere to all guidelines and age restrictions. All children who are under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver at all times. In the event the age guidelines are not followed, a parent may be asked to stay or the child may be dismissed from the activity.
By registering for this program, I hereby give permission for medical professionals to provide emergency services to my child(ren) if necessary and agree to hold Cure GM1 Foundation, staff, and their volunteers harmless of any said illness, injury, or disease.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to inform staff of allergies prior to the conference.
By registering for this program, I further understand and agree that my child(ren) will abide by the general rules of conduct and that violations may result in denial of future privileges and removal from the program activities.
I grant and convey to Cure GM1 Foundation all right, title, and interests in any photographs, images, video, or audio recordings of me, my likeness and my child(ren) made by Cure GM1 Foundation in connection with my attendance at the GM1 Symposium.

When will the conference be held? – The conference will take place on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Hyatt House Hotel in Emeryville, CA, which is in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tentative time is from 9am to 5pm.
Is there a fee to attend the conference? – Yes, there are fees for non-GM1 families. Registration is free for GM1 families.

Will this conference have a virtual component? – Yes. The conference will take place in person, but all sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend. In addition, we will have the option to attend via zoom.
Do I need to download an app to access the virtual conference? – No, the virtual component of the conference will take place on Zoom, which has an optional app but is not required.
Will there be a webcast or recording made available to those who cannot attend? – We will post the videos on the Cure GM1 Foundation YouTube channel following the conference.
Is this conference open to GM1 families outside of the United States? – Yes, the conference is open to anyone in the world, though attending virtually may, understandably, be easier for those outside the United States.
Will I still get to connect with other GM1 parents? – Yes! There will be opportunities to connect via chat and in sessions.
Can my extended family join the conference? – Yes, we would love to have any extended family join who are interested.
